Biography
Her Scales are stained black. They will not come clean. She has no regrets- the jewels she wears were gifts from a kind and twisted creature.
"You had wished to see me?" Dalahen's body curled and twisted beneath her, her claws pressed gently into the cool earthen floor.
The brambles that clung about the Patriarch's shoulders creaked gently. Though he could not see her face, she felt herself sit a little more proud, her wings tucking back in a sign of submission.
"I'm sure word has spread to the broader reaches of the den about our new... acquisition." The voice came from inside his cowl, the dim light bouncing off of his milky white eyes and sharp teeth.
Dalahen tipped her head down. She'd heard rumors- some of the younger ones and familiars insisting that they'd felt the ground rumbling beneath them as they walked. "There's... talk of a digger dragon. One brought in to expand the den." The spiral flicked her tail back and forth. She was no fool- what did all of this have to do with her?
"Indeed," He crossed his front claws and flexed back his wings. "Not just any dragon. He is a master of the craft, unlike any other I've seen in our time." Corrinth hummed quietly, his eyes blinking in quick succession.
"With all due respect, Patriarch, what does this have to do with me?"
Corrinth rose to his feet and beckoned for the spiral to follow him. "Your position in the clan has changed, Dalahen. You will tend to this creatures needs, while he is among us."
Dalahen's wide eyes shut to a squint as she followed behind him, down a twisting path that led deep into the ground. The packages underground were dark and dank, still unlit by torches- and the whole place smelled of dust. "Where are we going?"
"To meet your charge." Corrinth swept his tail and gestured out into a wide open pit, where a massive, hulking beast of a dragon (if it could even be called that) slept.
With every breath, it released a puff of dust into the air, and as Dalahen stood, transfixed by the sight of the bizarre, terrifying creature, Corrinth turned away. "Good luck, dear child. I hope the two of you can get along well."
