Biography
"That thing you don't want anyone to know? That'll be our little secret."
Name & Title: Belladona, Poison Master
Bio: Belladona is one of the few dragons that have figured out how to utilize the magic of scrying. Her method uses the pearls she keeps with her as a sort of crystal ball. Beyond that, it is unknown how she actually performs the magic. She has made up several stories as to how she learned the magic in the first place, one of them might be true. The most likely seems to revolve around her obtaining a sample of water from the scrying pool within the Shadowbinder's lair. While this raises the question of how, she often explains it as the Gods aren't as perfect as many believe. Another story involves her stealing scrolls being transferred from the observatory, but there has been no indication that the Arcane flight has a scrying division. In another tale she claims to have modified the Tidelord's method of foretelling the future through prophecy. A Tale centered around the lighting flight wants the listener to believe she traveled back in time via one of their creations. However she learned the ability it is clear she seeks shelter from, someone, she has never truly elaborated. Ahmaladeus was actually approached by Belladona, and when the pearlcatcher regaled the God-queen with things only she could know the Matriarch became intrigued. In exchange for safe harbor from a threat only Belladona knows, she utilizes her talents to learn the secrets of the God-queen's targets. Using this method the God-queen can preasure clans into doing what she wants and avoid costly battle campaigns. Though Ahmaladeus is aware that the pearlcatcher could be used against her meaning that Belladona is protected by the clan even more than the matriarch herself. Don't count her out of the fight though, she is aware of her position and has developed other methods of protecting herself if words and threats aren't enough. The encyclopedic knowledge of poisons and toxins she has is helpful for dealing with aggressors, but not her only form of combat. If her toxins are not enough she has developed a combat style utilizing the two pearls she carries with her. Yes, that is right,Bellandona has two pearls, one white, and one black. Where she obtained the second, dark pearl she has not even fabricated a tale for, but she does claim it contains all of the secrets she knows. In combat she shields both pearls with magic and uses them as long range bludgeons. Caution should be taken as they can also be coated in contact poisons.
Belladona prefers staying out of sight and far away from fights. She doesn't like being disturbed, and meeting her can only lead to misfortune as she has a habit of finding everyone's secrets. She doesn't seek friends, nor does she really make them. Any allies she has are in that position against their will, possibly even the God-queen not that she would admit it. Despite this fact, Belladona doesn't seek to conquer the world or anything malicious, she only seeks protection from something. What this entity is is another one of Belladona's secrets, and one she claims will come for her. Some of the clan have even guessed she doesn't know what will come, as she claims it is impossible for her to scry for it. If you do talk with her, don't trust anything she says, she has a silver tongue and it drips poison.
Special: Scrying Expert - Sure the Shadowbinder has been ruining the scrying tool within her domain, but Belladona has learned the secret to the art elsewhere. She is able to perfectly scry any location she has seen, the area an individual she has met is in, or even the individual an item belongs to as long as it is important enough to them. She is good enough to scry on multiple individual's at once and is capable of storing the images within her pearls.
Black & White - What is this thing? Why does Belladona have two pearls? Why is one of them black? All questions that she will not answer and a secret that will likely never be uncovered. The pearlcatcher does indeed have two pearls that she maintains. The standard white pearl that the species carries, and a pitch black pearl that she claims holds all of the secrets she knows. She will utilize both in combat, shielding them with protective magic to use as blunt weapons.
Poisoner - Having worked with poisons for her entire life she has become resistant to them. While not completely immune, the effects of most poisons are weak at best, and stronger poisons act much slower. She always has ingredients to mix antidotes or at least curatives to let her survive.
