For centuries after The Cataclysm, Muses fell silent from heartbreak over the loss of their patron, Lady Siel.

Of all Daevas across Atreia, Siel was the most noble and pure. Her devotion to protecting the Tower of Eternity made her an ideal guardian, and she was charged by Aion himself to lead the Empyrean Lords alongside Israphel.

When Israphel called for peace with the Balaur to put an end to the Millennium War, she allowed herself to be talked into it- in spite of her misgivings.

Too late did Siel realize the gravity of her mistake. During the peace treaty, The Tower of Eternity was broken, and under the continued onslaught of the Dragon Lords, it could not be restored. Atreia, likewise, was shattering to pieces.

In her final moments, Siel sacrificed herself, expending all of her power to freeze the broken Tower of Eternity and the surrounding lands in a stasis. She had always believed that protecting the Tower was her purpose. Even in death, as ever in life, she trusted that all was according to Aion's will.

And although the world of Ancient Atreia was lost, it was through Siel's sacrifice that life was able to flourish once more in its twin halves, in what would come to be known as Elysea and Asmodae.
