Blessing of Silence

TideSage is a long-time friend and adviser to SeaQueen; and thus when the time came for her to leave to Spiral Keep, she entrusted him with the Abyssal Acropolis. It is an ancient city, built into the cliffs of the Leviathan Trench, most of its tunnels are still buried and hidden. As the Duke of the Abyssal Acropolis, he takes his responsibilities a somber dedication and wisdom. Every subject shall receive fair treatment and voice under his laws and rulings, neither status or wealth of the individual deterring his verdicts…much to annoyance of his mate, MaidenTide, who wishes he would show a bit more preference for the benefit of the clan.

Also to his mate’s chagrin is his determination to keep her from becoming too ambitious in her plans, but he does have a soft spot for his love and shall admit he does not keep his sight upon her enough. Her constant scheming twists his heart in two, and he fondly remembers the young maiden who had been so bold to ask him to steal her away and the passion they had both shared. That passion has faded, but his love for her lingers and he tries his best to prevent her from harming too many with her insatiable climb for power.

In terms of blessing, TideSage is gifted with the power of silence- the power to sap away sound from his own movements or the sound of the area and objects around him. It is a terrifying power, a power that can cloak armies from their enemies, hunters from their prey, and assassins from their targets. He uses and gives the gift rarely, knowing too well the effect of the power is intoxicating and is easily misused. Some question if the power is why TideSage is so laconic in his own speech, but in truth it is because he finds it better to speak less and listen more.

TideSage is also ranked a Tidelord Sage priest, giving him access to the rites of destruction and death- and like his power of silence, these rites are rarely performed. He does have one pupil who knows almost the entirety of those rites and shares the blessing of silence -and that is the mute wildclaw, ShipWreck. It was more an act of mercy to save the wildclaw from the ruthless plans of his mate, but over time he has come to enjoy the company of ShipWreck to an almost fatherly extent. Alas TideSage spends most of his time rather alone- but not completely lonely- in his private library reading books and reports.

Small tibits: TideSage loves music, especially love songs- but it must be good or else the musician shall find theirself..silenced. He despises the taste of mint; and his necklace may or may not hold a spell of invisibility.
