- pursues the spirits who have materialized in the waking world rather than simply remaining as incorporeal elemental energy
- all things freeze in his presence, elemental energy normally cannot be used in his presence
- he is not a spirit of death as he does not ‘kill’, he breaks down— forcing spirits back into their weaker and more inert forms
- often slumbers rather than constantly hunting, though he can be disturbed by changes in the elemental environment
- if a spirit can keep a low profile, they have little fear of drawing attention
- once awoken he will pursue until his target has been returned to their base form
- while not truly related, some refer to him as the brother spirit of Aevus as they both have effects on time
- he is not usually seen by those who lack sight or skill for elemental energy, but his presence can always be felt— dragons may experience a sudden stillness, silence, or cold in the area that appears suddenly and vanishes without cause
- he is not blind, but he doesn’t see the way most do. His perception relies upon the elemental energies. What he sees specifically is unknown, but perhaps functions like infrared— only focusing and mapping ‘magic’ rather than heat.
