this name came to me in my sleep
With colors and patterns that rival Ikposa's matriarch and her consort, Elsebor is a vivid addition to the clan. With her she brought beautiful music — she plays the lute very well, and also sings quite well, although it's more common for her to hum along — as well as Iqira, a harpy who makes her own living by crafting beautiful drums that are then sold or traded to other dragons and Beastclan individuals.
Elsebor roams around most days, stopping as her whims dictate to play music, for herself and whomever else is around. The crafting workshop is a frequent stop, and she's bonded quickly with all of the regulars there, but especially Volute, who sometimes makes up silly lyrics for her to accompany with music. Her absolute favorite place, however, is the clan's library. She became instant friends with Eun, and visits often to chat and to trade finished books out for unread ones. She loves reading, and will sometimes take stories she especially liked and read them aloud to any interested hatchlings. Fiction is preferred, but she also enjoys history and even the occasional scientific work. Of particular interest to her from the day she arrived was Virose, the clan's reclusive physician. He was reluctant to socialize, but when she didn't push the idea of conversation and instead just quietly observed what he was doing while providing some soft music, he opened up a bit. Now they can be tentatively considered friends; it's hard to not be friends with Elsebor, to be fair. Right after claiming her den space she excavated a small side room which is kept damp with a fountain set into the wall, and a bit of sunshine (but not too much) through a roof vent. She grows her own food there, having a strong affinity for mushrooms. A bit of nature magic helps them flourish in the kind of quantiy needed to feed her every day. |
