Beetle watched the little bug, fascinated with its movements. Careful... Swiping her claws, she moved to snatch it in her talons- and missed.

She never had been able to do anything right.

Near misses, stepping on nails, lunging her jaws at an opponent's neck and popping their shoulder out of socket instead. She'd always been told to choose a harmless job, choose a career that wouldn't hurt herself or others, as luck always seemed to have it out for her.

And guess where that gets her? At the bottom of a ditch, trying to catch rare beetles (she had always loved beetles) to sell to collectors. The ones she did catch were typically ones no one had ever seen before, fortunately for her wallet.

Who knows? Maybe she finally found her thing.
