Welcome back, August 17th 2016.
The King of Bones.
His stay with the Plaguebringer changed Dunrok. Before he was weak, a soul far too kind for the desolate wastelands ruled by the toxic queen. Clinging to his far more capable mate, crouched between her wings as she defended the Caustic Keep. He could do nothing for her. Nothing. If he had been more capable their children would be here, strong and regal as they should be. But Bronislav and Lexine were gone. Dunrok had gone to fight and die for the Plaguebringer. But death didn't come. With no concern for his own life he became stronger.
With this strength came respect, and in time glory. He answered directly to the Plaguebringer, enforcing her divine will.
Ever since Tooru took over and moved the clan to the Lightweaver’s domain, signaling the change from the Caustic Keep to the Shimmering Bonefield, Dunrok has been really p*ssed and spends the majority of his time once again serving under the Plaguebringer - though he returns often to try and sway Vaisravana back to her divine position.
She’s not particularly interested.
Now Tooru is gone, but Vaisravana is still here.
She's always here. But she is still weak, still scarred by the trauma of the past.
Still rejecting who she really is, her divine right as the Daughter of Plague.
Refusing to act as the Absolute.
If that's the life Veena wishes to have than so be it, he will remain by her side and ensure everything she wants comes her way.
