Biography
──────────✽──────────
Coin was born into a wealthy and respected Imperial dragon family, known for their financial prowess and business acumen. From a young age, it was clear that Coin would inherit these traits as he had a natural aptitude for finance and managing assets. However, he was also born with a peculiar fascination with coins and currency that his family found odd and slightly embarrassing. As he grew older, Coin's passion for coins also grew and he began to collect every coin he found on his travels. He would often spend hours poring over antique coin catalogues, studying the intricacies of rare coins and even commissioning replicas of his favorites. However, his family and friends found this behavior strange and often ridiculed him for it. They saw it as a peculiar quirk that was beneath the dignity of the aristocratic dynasty he hailed from. Feeling ashamed, Coin started to keep his love of coins a secret. He would discretely pick up coins wherever he went but would never showcase his collection in front of anyone. Even his family members, who were usually supportive of his interests, started to grow increasingly distant from him, seeing his behavior as immature and frivolous. After many years of feeling isolated and misunderstood, Coin decided to leave his family's estate and travel extensively around Sornieth. He hoped to find others who shared his love of coins and to escape the judgment of his family and society. He traveled for months, even years, and his collection grew exponentially during this time. He would often talk to common folk and traders, exchanging stories about coins and their fascinating histories. He quickly became known as "Coin," the dragon who would do anything for a rare piece of currency. Despite his new-found circle of friends, Coin always felt a twinge of shame when he picked up coins in public. He understood that society saw it as an act of poverty or desperation, and the mockery he faced from his loved ones made him feel insecure. Still, he couldn't help himself. The thrill of finding rare coins was too great to resist. As Coin grew older, his love for coins never waned, but his desire to be accepted by his family did. He accepted that he would always be an oddity, a dragon obsessed with currency. In time, however, he found solace in his passion and in the company of those who shared it. Coin had finally found his place in the world, and it was among the coins he cherished so much. |
