Maximilian (max-ih-MIHL-yuhn) -- or Max for short -- is JanusCorp's second-in-command, making certain that all operations within the company run smoothly. Despite originally hailing from a prestigious Light clan, the aberration always felt the pull and allure of Stormcatcher's technology-riddled desert. He became acquainted with Vahnn by pure happenstance after the massive coup that led to the other aberration's ascension to top brass. Vahnn proved to be a very cunning aberration, and, bidding to pad out the board with his own allies, became all too eager to move Max and his young family to the corporation's campus in Goldensparc. Vahnn is now rarely seen without his chief operations officer trailing after him -- leading many in JanusCorp to snicker that he spends more time with the chief executive than his own mate.

Max, despite lacking Vahnn's circus performance level of showmanship, is much better loved by staff chiefly for being, by comparison, a very normal and approachable dragon. Both of his bespectacled heads are cohesively affable, only sliding into distinct personalities when under extreme stress. He often gives employees a great deal of leeway, which infuriates Vahnn -- leading to many desperate attempts to coach Max in proper hardboiled management to no success.
"...What? Lab A's on fire? Again? Oooh, Vahnn's going to be in a real tiff over this one..."
