1 April 2023:

THE DRAGONS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED!

As stated above, we are trying to obtain a Honey | Moss | Slate dragon, and through the dragon search tool, we have only found one in existence (as seen on the left)! My spouse (who we'll just call Devin from here on out) just joined, after years of watching me play, and designed up his perfect dragon.

An Obelisk (a good choice, they're a fav of mine), with a Basic primary (which...okay...), Bee secondary (very nice!), and a Thylacine tertiary (hm). And, of course, the ever-elusive Honey | Moss | Slate colouring. Which, as we have learned, does not exist.

So! The plan!

I've purchased these two dragos with Slate XXX and Moss XXX, because Honey is somewhere in between them, and the goal is to breed these two together, while occasionally tweaking their genes, just to make it easier once we get those colours. I've already got a pretty busy breeding schedule, so these dragos don't nest until...April 21st. But that leaves us plenty of time to get these genes! So wish us luck! And give some love to Molavar over there - the only dragon with these colours, apparently!!!

Well, the first nest has been hatched, and...

It didn't work!! Gah!!!

Like, I knew it wouldn't work right away, but I still hoped, ya know? But now we have some idea of just how difficult this will be. The dragons we hatched erred more towards the orange side, rather than the green/brown side. Which is a little frustrating, I'll admit! But we know it's possible to breed these, so I'm still holding out hope.

Right now, Devin and I will be thinking of names for these two, and then we'll decide what to do with them. It'd be sad to sell them, but at the same time, I'm not sure what else we could do with them. Maybe I'll throw them in my project tab and re-gene them..?

In other news, Molavar is still the only active Honey | Moss | Slate dragon on the site! Neat!

Nest #2 was a bust as well! We've got three more dragons, and none of them have the right colours! I'll keep this update short and sweet, though. Third time's the charm, right!?
