Sugarcane

Sugarcane had forgotten how long it had been since she first entered into the middle of nowhere. She was on a ship with her fellow crew-mates when all of a sudden they crash-landed into Sornieth. When she came too, she found herself completely alone amongst the wreckage. She desperately searched for her friends but they were nowhere to be found.

However, as time went on, she began to find new friends. Nyx and Kelpie were like her chosen family. Soon she began to find joy in life again. Was it perfect? No. However, at the very least she was happy. At the very least… she was… happy…

A screech echoed throughout the sanctuary as Sugarcane finally became the very thing she had been dedicated to fighting. Snarling with a thick dark saliva dripping from her mouth. Next was Nyx, the nocturn’s eyes glazed over right before flashing one last look of terror, falling to the ground making hissing noises.

Kelpie slowly backed away from her former friends, as she watched them turn into monsters. She looked around her, taking in the chaos, the screams from the other residents. The tornado-like wind that buzzed around the undergrowth from the other dragons trying to fly away from the two new entities. Her friends, looking at her the same way any other entity would before attacking. Her eyes became wet, her mouth curling, she tried so hard to help them escape. She tried so hard to convince them to leave the sanctuary and find a way out. However they just couldn’t see what she could see. They just wouldn't listen...

Through her blurry vision she stared at North. Calmly standing amongst all the chaos, tail raised high, wings stretched wide and a smile that was filled with nothing but sick pride.
