Biography
Paired with Hearth - "Monarchy"
Hatchling pinglist:
1 of 4 active dragons with these colors, 1 of 14 total.
Prince Candle, last of his line, has traveled through the long, cold depths of space to reach this land in hopes of saving his lineage and his kingdom. Although the genes are more common in other Aether populations, in his homeland only nobility present the genes Cinder, Blaze, and Monarch. Cinder and Blaze are sometimes found in lesser nobles, but having both is a sure sign of being high nobility. Notably, only royalty present the Monarch gene. Those who marry a royal are gifted the Monarch gene, rather than limiting the pool of options to only those who already have it.
When he arrived, Prince Candle was shocked to find other Aethers already here, although none were from his home except his trusted companion Shadowspark (who he traveled with). He thought finding a suitable Aether would be easy, but instead he found love with a nocturne. This nocturne, Hearth, agreed to become an Aether and marry him. After the wedding, he will be King Candle, and she will be Queen Hearth. Prince Candle hopes to use this marriage to save his homeland.
The royal family of his homeworld was actually split into two parallel lines. The story goes that the first king and queen had two children, a son and a daughter, and they wished to pass power to both of them. So they split the power evenly, calling the son King and the daughter Queen. When both married and had children of their own, the King's power would pass to his eldest son, and the Queen's would pass to her eldest daughter. This continued for many generations, until now.
With the destruction of his homeworld, King Candle has no idea if his distant relative Queen Dawn, her husband King Nightfall, or any of their children escaped into space. If they did not, then his daughters would be in line for the Queen's throne as well.
