Wars are not always fought on the front line. An army’s success depends on various factors: strength, yes, but also training, terrain, organization, and – as Duvain would argue – equipment.

As a master enchanter, Duvain supports his friends in battle by making sure they are equipped with the best armor, weapons, talismans, and tools he can create. Each combat scenario demands different arcane charms. As such, the iridescent obelisk sources stones, crystals, and various other reagents from all the farthest corners of Sornieth.

Fighting in the Southern Icefields? Duvain would recommend magic medallions, infused with fire crystals to keep his army warm. Flying foes require grounding arrows; skilled mages and magicians need scepters, rings, and baubles to hone their abilities to the greatest extent possible. When life and death are on the line, only the finest equipment and enchantments will do. Anything less, in his mind, is akin to self-sabotage, and he will fly into an indignant rage when he is unable to source materials or craft items up to his extremely high standards.
