Sinestra, the Scarred Rebel (she/her) - the redeemed
- The name “Sinestra” means beautiful yet evil - an accurate description for the character.

- Sinestra is Sapphira’s ex-lover - they fell in love in a very enemies-to-lovers sort of way, but they were enemies before, during, and after the relationship.

- The Spirit of Darkness isn’t and never has been evil. Since the nature of spirits changes based on the people of Araledia’s perception of them, when the Spirit of Darkness began being seen as selfish, apathetic, and resenting the other spirits, he started to become that. He also used to be seen as female, like the other spirits, but gradually turned into a male identity instead due to the matriarchal view of the society.
- Sinestra’s relationship with the rest of the spirit avatars is quite complicated. As the spirit avatar of darkness, she is the main antagonist of the story. However, she has a strong sense of honor, as well as a lot of respect for the other spirit avatars. There are no negative feelings between her and the other spirit avatars.- Sinestra is Sapphira’s ex-lover - they fell in love in a very enemies-to-lovers sort of way, but they were enemies before, during, and after the relationship.
