Courageous works mainly at Camper's Edge, an area of Wayfare that is constantly filled with dragons, tarps, tents, booths, and traveling gear where travelers set up shop and rest. Despite his attempts to maintain order in the area, its always and forever will be organized chaos (though most dragons will say this is the best environment for Courageous to set up in). His natural charm deescalates fights, and he calls his side job being a "verbal tour guide". His friendly face always seems to have a smile on it, no matter the situation or circumstances.

Though most of his time is spent dealing with journeymen, he maintains the adventurous spirit he had when he arrived in this humble town. He likes to join Atzel on his hunting trips and though he can't leave Wayfare due to his job, he will press Kestral about his adventures in Windsinger's Haven. Currently, he's obsessed with the idea of pirates and the sea, and he's been requesting books from the library run by Ace. Courageous, no matter which stories he's reading at the time, will share them with the travelers, particularly hatchlings. He carries a small soft spot for them and someday wishes to have some for his own.

And, of course, one can't go for long without noticing his... unconventional appearance. Though he's not the prettiest dragon in town (or the one with the best fashion sense), Courageous is still loved and appreciated. He makes a point of showing that beauty is just as much valuable inside as it is outside. The snapper often brings up anecdotes of those gorgeous enough to be gods but corrupt enough to dilute their appearance, the toxicity contaminating their beauty. Though hatchlings are blunter about his unalluring image, even they can understand that he holds more beauty than most dragons combined.
