Mervyn is a vampire and the only son of Luc Erland, one of the most powerful demon at his time. Luc was the son of Drakons closest friend, respected by demons and dragons alike and part of the holy council. He was overprotective, didn't allow Mervyn to go out alone and gave him a guard at his side who should keep him save. Little did his father know, that this guard was Samael.

Mervyn and his guard, who he only called Sam, got along well. He trusted his friend and talked with him about everything that came into his mind.
Often Mervyn has a hard time to concentrate on serious topics, but he wants to please everybody and tries hard to live up to the expectations. He is quite smart, although he was mostly only known for his childish behaviour.
Sam introduced Mervyn to Robyn, who he fell madly in love with. When Robyn expected a child, Mervyn finally found the courage to make plans that would let him away from his father. He wanted to build a new life of his own with Robyn and the child.
When Sam turned against him, Mervyn could show how much he had grown, thinking about Robyn and the child first and about his own life second.
