kanev did not awaken as an obelisk

he was hatched to a sharp-tongued veteran ridgeclaw and a quiet but headstrong skyclaw. the winner of a recessive roulette, he was a wildclaw at first sight, if a strange one. a bit leaner, of course, with long skydancer feathers cropping up at every sharp joint. and his arms were longer, with wicked, backcurved ridgeback claws to match the jagged horns scattered across his hide. his wings, strangely, were fully feathered, regardless of the myriad of spines breaking through. his tail was long, longer than it should be, longer than any of his three lineages had any right to give him, ending in a rough burst of both feathers and spikes.

- likes cave lairs, but in walls rather than underground. oddly DOESNT like expanding, prefers near-claustrophobic comfort [not to a spelunker point, comparable to a bear's hibernation den]

from skydancer:
- feathered wings
- beaklike muzzle
- thick, straight mane and crops of short, dense fur
- long, feather-tipped tail
- extremely agile in the air, near-acrobatic but too sharp to be performative
- NO GEM [ridgeback horn overruled it, can sense energy/emotional changes intrinsically [enough to scout, not to mediate] but cannot pinpoint the cause, source, or point and it just makes him highly paranoid. however, is difficult for most skydancers read due to his own abilities being biologically haywire]

from wildclaw:
- natural-born hunter and melee fighter
- skilled jumper, kick-focused fighting style
- opposable thumbs
- much sharper/more notched feathers
- mural-adorned lair, destroys and recreates his own art often
- keeps trinkets and tokens from major life events
- fights alone regardless of trust level
- silent movement
- shrieking roar

from two/three:
- feathered tail, joints, and crest [sky/wild]
- steady full-sized forelegs [ridge/sky]
- ravenous carnivore [wild/ridge]
- side horns [all three]
- harsh brow, long mouth [all three]
- long neck, huge wings [all three]
- roughly medium-sized most of his life [all three kinda (ridgeclaw was small for a ridgeback, skyclaw was large for a skydancer)]


from obelisk [later in life]
- stoneshape [warm clay-rooted volcanic stone, flecked with gold, veined with zhanguo agate and nephrite jade]
- wild mane and longer fur
- larger, with heavier armor and muscle tone
- intentionally takes and weathers the brunt of all attacks
- carves things. sculpts things. doesnt paint much anymore
