Biography
The silence lingering amongst the ruins of the light was disturbed one night when a freak storm shattered the peace. That was also the night Thunder was struck in his egg by a bolt of lightning. His parents fretted over the charred eggs, but over all the light egg with it's golden hue still rocked with movement. The parents quickly covered him up, with his siblings, carrying them to the ruins for shelter.
Days later when Thunder hatched, he seemed a little off. His legs twitched, and on occasion he lost control of him movements. Concern for hatchling that he was having seizures the dragons sought medical help from all the clans. Arcane dragons tried spells, the nature dragons tried homeopathic remedies. Unfortunately the plague dragons never made it past the entrance as their mouths salivated over the weak tasty morsel.
But then a mirror dragon approached the lair, he wore strange contraptions, and spoke quickly with out pause. He carried with him tools of the electrical variety, and upon diagnosing the dragon reached forward and zapped him with a strong force of electricity. The parents surged forward at the forward use of magic, as he hadn't even said a word yet. Through much growling, snarling, and snapping.
But then Thunder leapt forward, this time his gait didn't stutter. His legs rippled with the strength of light. But also, a spark occasionally jumped from his fur. He looked to the mirror, his eyes wide with pure wonderment at the chocolate and blue hues. His parents pulled him back, but he pushed forward, his stride never stopping. "Teach me,"
"You will have much to learn, and it may take some time." The mirror never stopped smiling as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Pleased with the eagerness of his new student. "You may yet be able to harness both the light and electricity. But, for now. Can you fly?"
He blushed, he didn't yet know. His hesitation flushed with embarrassment was brushed aside with ease as the mirror sidled up to him. "No worries, we will cover that too! How else will you make it to the carrion canyons and beyond!"
From then on Thunder never suffered, except for an occasional lapse of twitch. But he did enjoy the pleasant shock to his system.
