Biography
Fafnir
"Fafnir was by far the biggest and fiercest, and he wanted everything to be called his."

Born in the chilly winds of the Icefields, Fafnir does not remember his parents. Upon enquiry, it seems that in recent days they were called to serve the Warden. A part of him feels a little melancholy he no longer holds their memory within him. He thinks he must have once been loved very much, as such values were always instilled within him and still affect his relationships with others. He has, and will always, love deeply and carefully.
He lived for years with a Coatl he took as his mate, together alone at the Crystal Pools. They took sole ownership of their territory and flourished, though when she began to get restless and irritated, trapped again and again in the same routine, he noticed. For a while he stayed with her as she formed a clan, but guilt-ridden and reluctant, he eventually found himself alone.
♥︎
Fafnir would be the first to admit he is a coward. He despises conflict of any kind, though rather than actively preventing it he simply runs away from his problems, shying away from all responsibility. However, there is value to be found in his flighty advice, as it is a permanent reminder that there are other possible outcomes, and getting involved, even peacefully, is not always the best course of action.
Thus, he finds employment sitting by the sides of leaders, whispering in their ears and in turn receiving the lists of their appointments and duties, carefully noted down. He feels useful, and it helps him forget the undercurrent of anxiousness that thrums through him like a heartbeat.
♥︎
Before Fafnir left his first clan, one of his first clutch of hatchlings was murdered and sent swiftly to the Shadowbinder. Such was to be expected, when its mother was a great leader. His coward heart made a resolve, in that moment, to protect what was dear to him.
Wherever he finds employment, he will teach morality, as best as his anxious demeanour could allow, in his spare time. He has come to crave the hero-worship of the young and seeks to create a generation of pacifists, and however small his contribution might be, he is determined to see it through.
He lives on, triumphant.
