Theme

"You mean... so very much to me," the giant then rumbled, aware of the look of genuine surprise on Click's features.

"I had always meant to tell you that, but I could never find my courage. And then the avalanche hit, and I... I was so afraid I would never be able to say it to you at all. So I think I should... start telling you more often from now on. Until you grow sick of hearing it."

History

Towering out over even his own kind, Volkert is a giant in his own right. It was his size that drove him into the Southern Peaks of the Winter mountains, where he found solace in his solitude and the certainty that he need not constantly watch himself to prevent him from endangering anyone else. Volkert has a generally pleasant disposition and responds to strangers in a neutral manner; though he will always firmly demand that they leave him well alone.

The only ones Volkert willingly shares his territory with are the Behemoths that roam the wintry woods, and Click, an eccentric little mage that one day just decided the safest place for him to be was right at the hulking Ridgeback's side. Click has since-- somehow-- become the very center of Volkert's universe, and the Ridgeback would gladly move the entire mountain for him should Click want for it.

Favorite treasures

Sandyshore Sea Bass
Though Volkert is not at all picky on food, seafood has his preference. Thankfully, plenty large fish can be found in the expansive lakes within the wintry woods.
Kunzite
An enchanted shard of crystal that Volkert always wears on him. It was a gift from Click, its warm glow growing stronger whenever the Skydancer is near.
Coarsefur Yeti
It takes a truly unwise soul to willingly challenge Volkert to combat. Unfortunately, some creatures just never seem to learn...
