Prometheus was sent from a fire clan to be a permanent resident and ambassador, but he was lonely surrounded by a Nature-influenced culture. He was out looking for a heat vent or a hot spring to remind him of the heat of home, when he found the Flameback Slink wandering about instead. He routinely visited, fed, and bonded with the familiar until it was comfortable returning with him to his stone abode inside the sprawling palace. Prometheus' room is a cave that was attached to the palace using stone bricks. He built a fireplace for himself in order to raise the heat of the room to what he is used to. Despite being in a Nature clan, Prometheus still worships Flamecaller instead of Gladekeeper and he's most at home in an environment that resembles his home. He carved a statue of Flamecaller himself because he didn't want to disrespect the clan by asking them to carve an image of another deity.

Prometheus is a rather flashy dragon, even if he'd rather not be. Growing up, he'd had to learn how to accept that he would always draw attention just by being around other dragons. Prometheus doesn't like to attract too much attention or make anyone uncomfortable, but he also doesn't want to hide his allegiance or ignore his station in the clan. He also prefers lighter, looser clothes because anything heavier was too hot in his home clan.
