The only surviving offspring of Pulse and Sierra, Kyras was last to hatch. As a result, he got to see his siblings murder each other while Terfel tried to intervene. It has haunted him since. While Sierra loves him as she does all her children, Pulse couldn't care less about him. While he wouldn't say it out loud, he considers Kyras and his siblings to have been mistakes due to what happened. It is also because of that that Pulse decided to no longer have any kids, figuring that it wasn't fair to his potential children for them to inherit his madness. Terfel is more of a father figure to him as a result, due to Terfel being quite kind. He also considers the Clan Patriarch Joseff to be like a mentor to him and wishes to train under him as a protector of the clan. While Kyras did inherit his father's madness, he didn't get the full effect of it like his siblings did. He does have times where he wants to just kill something, but tempers it by meditation. He figures that by doing so, he can get it better under control as he cares greatly for his Clan mates and doesn't want to harm them. Kyras is a kind individual and is quick to protect his Clan mates. Everyone in the Clan knows of his issues, much like they know of Pulse's and much like his father, they accept him for who he is. Like his father, he likes to cover himself in the blood of the local wildlife and enemies of the Clan. He does have a dark sense of humor and gets along well with Ryze. He's also close with Koirin, considering her to be like an older sister to him. Due to his condition, he is uncertain as to whether he should eventually have kids of his own, as he doesn't want the same thing to happen with them as what happened to his siblings. But, this doesn't seem to be too big a concern as he has become mates with Celestine. However, he does think adopting an abandoned egg may be an option in the future-provided both are on board.
