Biography
Fandragon for my pirate rogue/druid, Bellamy "Lightfoot" Ashcrowne. ART BELOW
Quick lore:
Daughter of the King of the Riverlocke pirates, now a high ranking pirate captain in her own right.
Many months ago, before she was a captain, she was taken in the night by a cult called the Sunhoods. They took her to a place called the Islet of Ba, where a piece of a druidic spirit resided. They bound this spirit to her with the intention of killing her afterwards, which they hoped would destroy the spirit.
Instead, Bellamy and the druidic spirit synergized well enough to kill their captors and escape. Bellamy now lives with the spirit of the druid, Keelra, as a part of her, and is reckoning with life as more than one person. Bellamy alternates between using singular pronouns and using plural ones, unsure of whether or not she counts as just herself anymore.
Bit more in depth:
Bellamy's memory of the night she was bound to Keelra is actually not what happened. Keelra changed her memory afterwards because the truth was that Bellamy was indeed killed that night, but Keelra manifested an avatar of starlight to destroy the Sunhoods and revive Bellamy (and herself, by extension).
Technically speaking, Bellamy is a composite of three people.
She is Bellamy Ashcrowne, the pirate who was taken by the Sunhoods and died that night.
She is Keelra, the ancient druid to whom Bellamy was bound. Her spirit is holding the divine gate in place, so dying would upset the balance of all nature.
And she is part a woman named Jasira, the lead Sunhood who did the ritual to bind Keelra to Bellamy. After Keelra's avatar destroyed the Sunhoods, she used Jasira's soul to revive Bellamy. A life for a life. Some remnant of Jasira is still alive in Bellamy, if residually.
She is not aware of Jasira being a part of her, but she is very aware of Keelra's existence. Keelra is the offspring of two gods and can only see and hear what Bellamy does. Bellamy is doing her best to live up to the expectations of both protecting Keelra and sort of being Keelra
