While physically Kuron is the age of two and thus an adult, his mind is that of a hatchling. His body is the only thing that has ever physically matured. Found wandering by himself through a ruin at the edge of Lightweaver's territory it became clear the hatchling was different. Not only had the small dragon bonded with an animal most would consider food, he seemed too naive for an older hatchling of his age.

It became clear as he grew older that he was in a permanent state of a child. He was not stupid by any means, in fact he was quite clever in terms of right and wrong and processing skills. It's as if his mind reached a certain age and then simply stopped. Because of this he is more simplistic than others his age, more naive. It became clear as he spoke of his previous family that they had become aware of this and chased him from the nest to find his own way if he couldn't contribute to their society.

Taken in as more of a pity case than anything, he makes himself useful to Paige by helping her with the cooking and care of other hatchlings like "himself" and has integrated will into the clan over the years. Daria treats him with a more tender hand just as she would any hatchling and no one has ever criticized her for it.
