Everything was dark. Well, that was the everyday of draghost city, But Lin Shen would always be found in the darkest parts, with no nightlights whatsoever. He was known for luring female pearlcatchers around, seeking to captivate them, and he succeeded numerous times. Everyone in Draghost city were bitter towards him because of pure jealousy. But he wouldnt bat an eye to any judgemental passerby. He couldn't care less. Because away from all the noise and crowds, is where the stars shined the most.
But that special night, he wasn't the only one that shined in the darkest clearance. He was walking majestuously, as usual, seeking to spend the night with a new mate. But his eyes got blinded by the most shining light he had seen in his life. He had to put his paw in front of his eyes, and when they adjusted to the light, there she was. A female pearlcatcher, with obsidian scales, but with a halo as bright as a star, and runes drawn around her body that shined as much. And for the first time in his life, Lin Shen had become speechless. "Who are you?" The dragoness spoke. Shen shook his head quickly, trying to make his tongue work. "I was... I..." And he believed himself to be the most confident guy. He felt like snapping his bigger horn in half. The dragon with the golden runes rolled her eyes and spoke yet again. "I dont have much time. My clan is looking for allies of the arcane... a lot of us can't cope with the eternal nights and the uh... radiation." She looked around herself while she was saying that with a hint of disdain. Lin Shen relaxed a bit. "Ok, but where is your king?" He asked with a malicious smirk. The dragoness puffed. "I dont know who are you talking about... just tell me already, do you know who's in charge here?" But her runes turned red, so her cover was blown. Lin Shen smirked. "I am, I am. Want me to show you around?" He had already got used to her brightness, and could see she was a light dragon. He covered her body with his wings, protecting her from the pesky radiation. "Alright... Its difficult, I dont know if we chose the right place to move into..." She vented to him. Lin Shen tilted his head, he couldnt believe himself, he was actually paying attention to the conversation. "Dont worry. You are exactly where you should be."

Lin Shen had succesfully overthroned Uri. But the decision was fully from Merle. Uri could no longer serve the clan, he was so fond of his nature territory... and because they loved eachother so much, they decided to drift apart.
Lin Shen had kind of a similar temperament to that from Uri's, but he was way less lazy than the former king. He got along well with Merle's adoptive family, even related to Luminor. Both found joy in spending time for themselves. But... Lin Shen really became fond of Dream. He had never met such a goofy yet intelligent dragon. And his starry feathers were beautiful. He sometimes wished his wife had starry scales as well... |
