BIOGRAPHY
Despite his huge size and impressive horns, Chamomile is the least intimidating dragon one is likely to meet. Incredibly gentle by nature, the Gaoler has never taken interest in the business-like shade hunts of his kind. He has always instead sought to live a harmonious existence among other like-minded individuals. His thick, shaggy coat is composed not entirely of his own fur but of lichens and flowering moss. Due to his overgrown coat, Chamomile smells always of blooming flowers and warm, wet grass; combined with his soft voice, he gives off a pleasant, homely atmosphere. Acting as the head farmer in Sundry's Refuge, Chamomile and his farmhands produce bountiful harvests almost year-round, and the Gaoler is almost always found out in his fields. He takes his simple work very seriously, and will become downcast if his harvests aren't up to standard. He treats his farmhands well, but puts a lot of value in working - Chamomile expects everyone to try their best, and can somehow tell when someone isn't pulling their weight. However, he has a good head, and never orders anyone to do anything; the dragons on the farm all seem to respect him, and work with him accordingly. |
BIOGRAPHY
Chamomile hails from the Shrieking Wilds, where the forest floor is as dark as night from the overgrowth above. Chamomile enjoyed the pulse of life in the Viridian Labyrinth, but could not find peace among the constant skirmishes and bloody corpses hidden among the trees. He fled to the deepest parts of the labyrinth, where dragons did not dare to go, and lived for a few years as a hermit. However, upon meeting Lacerta, he found himself missing company, and agreed to travel with her. Eventually, he found himself employed in the Refuge; the peaceable atmosphere is pleasant for Chamomile. On their trek through the Viridian Labyrinth, Chamomile and Lacerta also encountered a badly beaten Maren Fisher and the two helped to nurse her back to health. Linden, the Maren, was wary of the two dragons. However, after Chamomile established that they were not a threat, she asked to travel with them; she had been cast out of the local rivers for her perceived weakness and thin catches that year. They admitted her, and Linden has been especially grateful to Chamomile ever since. The two are fast friends, and Linden actually holds a fairly high position in the Refuge's decision-making process. She has a sharp mind, and her ingenious basket traps yield most of the Refuge's fish supply. She enjoys her place on the farm, often chiding the farmhands from the creek. Chamomile appreciates Linden greatly, and the two often spend time together out in the creek. |
