Once a true child of the Arcanist, Rowan attempted to cut himself off from his element, covering up his deep connection with the arcane due to his borderline nonexistent relationship with his father. He's often regarded as an illegitimate child by his own father, Spartan who often reminds him that his mother abandoned him. Nowadays, he doesn't see his father much, but the pain and neglect of his formative years still lingers in his mind.

And no matter how much he tries to hide it, his true arcane nature is obvious to anyone who looks close enough...


Friends with Viorel but is also very jealous of the man because the Spiral is beloved by a nearby Shadow clan. The clan even having gone so far as to gift his friend with artifacts that are only given to a Shadow clan's beloved warriors. It infuriates him to no end that he's constantly regarded as a stranger there, even though Viorel brings him there all the time.

Rowan tries to look the part of an intimidating Shadow warrior by dressing himself in the finest, spookiest armours...not realising he actually needs to be a warrior to get any recognition. And though the young man tries to look menacing 24/7, in strong winds, his graspy hands fold and wave in the air like one of those familiar dealership tube men.

*Read: Lay his head on the table and sadly slurp up dumplings by grabbing them with his tongue. (He always gets the Trickmurk Special.)
