"Sshhhh..." the curly-horned head whispered to its sister. "They'll hear us!"

The shushed head rolled her eyes and tsked before she responded, "That's kind of the idea, idiot." She then turned her head and pinned the visitor in her stony gaze as she hissed, "We are sentinels, after all."

Blinking, the chastized head responded. "Oh. Oh, yes!" Then spun to add her intense stare to the discomfort of the visitor. But her constant chatter broke the spell of intimidation. "I keep forgetting papa made us to keep people away. After all, I do so enjoy speaking to those who cross the ocean to talk to papa about his art. And don't forget the commissions! What a wonderful life he has given us, don't you agree?"

With a hiss, the sister head snapped at the talkative one, "If you would be silent, it would be an amazing life!"

As the heads bickered, the visitor snuck away into the woods surrounding the cave where the artist Einir lived. A low chuckle rumbled through his home as more statues stared at the surrounding woods to fulfil their sentinel duties. After all, if he had to tend to everyone who came to him with requests, he'd never get any work done!
