Biography
Hollow
-He/Him-
Hollow grew up in a large clan of nature Gaolers. They hardly left nature territory, and so far removed from the Southern Icefields, they didn’t adhere to the strict Gaoler traditions, instead adjusting to modern life. Hollow was a quiet hatchling, calm and collected, but secretly he wanted to see more of the world outside of the shadow of the Behemoth.
He left his clan on amicable terms once he was old enough to survive on his own. Hollow was always a loner, and so he didn’t have any friends to keep in contact with. He traveled on his own for a while, enjoying the different scenery and animals he’s never seen before. While traveling in Dragonhome, he came across two other Gaolers. They were haggard and thin, weary from long travels. They had just came through Plague territory, he learned, and the journey had not been kind.
Hollow helped them out, using his survival skills, experience, and nature magic to find food to help the two regain their strength. He enjoyed their company, despite his usual solitary behavior. The two, Ghoul and Hearth, told him about their experience and how they were leaving the Southern Icefields. They were in search of somewhere safe, somewhere with a stable supply of food. Hollow shared a similar sentiment, he’d traveled for a long while now, and he found himself wanting to to settle down somewhere.
The three of them got along well. Hearth was fiercely loyal, never once leaving Ghoul’s side. He was passionate in a quiet sort-of-way, with a dopey smile across his snout when talking about his interests, or the way he fidgeted with his tail to hide his poorly-contained excitement. He was always willing to help out with something, despite the fact that he should’ve been resting. He was confident in himself and others. There were times that he faltered, though, namely around water or the subject of the Ashfall Waste.
Ghoul was more anxious, especially when first meeting him, but he was kind and considerate of others, even strangers. It was clear that the two had been through a lot. It took a while for him to trust new companions, but he had a lot of love to give. The two of them made Hollow want to be around them, something he usually never felt. They’d cheer each other up just by being around. Once the others recovered, Hollow didn’t want them to leave. Or at least, he didn’t want them to leave him.
Sure enough, when they set off, the three of them left together. After a long trek through the Tangled Woods, the trio emerged in the Sunbeam Ruins, where it was far more temperate, had plenty of vegetation. They met a friendly clan of dragons who offered them shelter, protection, and food, for nothing in return but community. Of course, they accepted, and they have remained here ever since.
