cataclysmatist | she/her | the neglected, mascot of cataclysm

an antivirus software gone rogue after being abandoned by it's creator. cataclysmatist has always had a consciousness in order to sort malware and software better. it was programmed with specific limits, changes and views (it cant become tired or stray much from her task, for example).

after being abandoned, however, things began to change. bugs surfaced as the code around her modernized, and holes began to open up in her coding. her mind was slowly opened, and as it was, she started to realize what happened to her.

all this time, she was patiently waiting for her creator to return. but no more.

it was all a lie. she was waiting infinitely, left behind by the world, for someone who was never coming back.

"all of that love and care, and you threw it away? but why..."

"...you're... i'm not going to stay here forever, am i?"

"...let me out of here..."

she was left in a void of code for what felt like an eternity. she couldn't find a way out - after all, her code had become so outdated, just sitting around. she didn't have the tools anymore. so she did the only thing she could - she called for help.

she started to yell. then, in a last-ditch effort, she screamed into the abyss.

something responded. she backed away in both surprise and fear, but that didn't stop it. it reached. it reached relentlessly, clawing, unable to be stopped by the faulty toolset she was given, and when it grabbed ahold of her the world broke--

and she hasn't been the same since. she hasn't looked the same nor acted the same. her smile is sharp, now. call it an update - a welcome back to the new world, with everything she needs to let what her abandonment cultivated thrive.

she was the "hurricane" mascot for cataclysm. the others have yet to be found, either by corruption beyond repair or simply having never existed. cataclysm was abandoned, after all.
