While to those born under the sun the light means truth and knowledge, to those of nature it means survival. To flourish, light is required, and so it is the light that Xeni brings. Touched by the sun with bright runes seared along her flank since her birth so many years ago, it is the sun she harnesses and illuminates even the darkest corners of the forests and jungles. Plants and life grow strong under her watchful gaze, replenished and renewed with energy in her presence. By night she rests and rejuvenates so that come daybreak she may pass on this energy to the world she so cherishes, ever a beacon of hope and life. Plants seem to seek her out, reach and grab for her, cling and creep along her, and she gives them all she has, sometimes collapsing from the drain. Yet when the sun reaches high above and touches her flank she rises once more and once more gives and gives, even coaxing plant life from the most inhospitable of places. It is a demanding life she has chosen to lead, but the only one she deems worthy. To give all is to live fully and completely in her eyes. She remains distant, separate, reserving her precious energies for the Viridian Labyrinth. Rarely does she speak to anyone, only those within her clan receive her company and efforts, her time a valuable thing. Residing at the Behemoth with the rest of the Sages, the great tree and all of the growth surrounding it benefit from the nourishing light she spreads and the Gladewalker territory flourishes and grows exponentially, the life within strong and hardy and able to weather any changes that may come. Often times she has been spotted praying and meditating during the day, always in a clearing with a bright patch of sunlight, clutching her pearl to her chest as both it and her runes give off a brilliant, yellow glow. |
