Biography
explorer and librarian
grumpy; a loner. barely tolerates apis who is just happy to work. has only affections for one dragon, pearwillow, but struggles to muster up the courage to talk to her.
opal -> crystallised on one of his adventures
Before ever entering the water, Tide had to still himself (and his nerves, though he would never admit that) to allow the warm salty water to wash over his head. He was a Wind aligned dragon after all, and though he had left his clan and his region, it didn't make it any easier to adjust to breathing underwater. Underwater now, he heard a large splash. Apis. He gritted his teeth as he turned to look at his assistant.
'Don't you have any manners?' He snapped.
The young dragon grinned at him. 'Loosen up, Tide! We've got a big one today!'
He sighed, dropping the matter. Apis would never learn. 'Do you at least have the map?'
Apis waved his left foot at him. 'At your service, sergeant!'
He rolled his eyes and began the descent downwards. 'Then let's go.'
---
They looked at them like they were something special. Tide snorted. As if. He could not imagine anyone let alone Pearwillow considering him to be important. Just his own ego again.
'When can I leave?' He said instead.
He could've sworn he swore a hurt expression flit across her face. 'You'll be free to go in a week's time. We must ensure that the venom has not affected your joints.'
He huffed and lay down again. Great. Reason more for Pearwillow to never like him, the invalid who might never walk again and remain a burden on her.
---
"Look, I'm sorry, but I thought you knew–"
"Of course I knew! Everyone knew! Nobody went shouting from the rooftops like you did, though!"
