Lore w.i.p. Little is known about the Dark Dragon, and most dragons believe he's only a myth. Thought to be centuries old or more, no living dragon knows his true age, but legends and stories have been passed down through generations.

His mate, Caldera the Soul Hunter, brings new souls to his domain, which lies directly under the heart of Sornieth. And Magmus, the Dark Dragon, bargains with them, promising to grant whatever their hearts desire...if they can bring him the Spirit of the Longest Night.

But if they fail or flee...their souls will be hunted and consumed...

A dragon by the name of Macaron sought him out one fateful day. The pale dragon had stolen an old book containing the only known entries about the mysterious Dark Dragon, and reading them aloud brought him deep under Sornieth, right into Magmus' claws. Macaron wanted his love, Diamonddust, brought back from the dead, and offered servitude to the Dark Dragon, and his soul. Curious, Magmus had never had an undead dragon seek him out, but he accepted the offer nonetheless.

There was just one problem, however.

Diamond's soul had already been claimed by the Spirit of the Longest Night, taken somewhere secret, hidden from the eyes of the Dark Dragon himself, and his mate. The one thing the Dark Dragons longed for.

But Magmus knew of a way to find it...

He charged Macaron with finding this secret place, and he gave the pale dragon until the next Longest Night, nearly one year later, do to the deed.
