Winter was born to a clan that disbanded once he was grown, for some reason or another. He struggled to find a new home in the forests of the nature flight (partly due to his pale coloration, which made him stand out against the deep greens of the forest), but because he's an adventurer at heart, he made this his excuse to travel the rest of Sornieth, having no idea how difficult of an undertaking this would be, especially for a tiny fae.
This clan found him washed up on the northern shore of the Southern Icefield. He'd made his way across the mainland thanks to the help of friendly clans along the way, while avoiding the ones who weren't so friendly. He'd attempted to cross the ocean to the south alone, and had collapsed from hunger and exhaustion near the end of his flight. They'd offered him a place to stay while he recovered, and he ended up staying, comfortable to have a home to come back to for the time being. He serves as the clan's messenger, to satisfy his lust for adventure, and he's semi-famous in the clan for his stories and travels. He and Who exchange stories of their adventures quite often.
