shoulder. I made sure his teeth were forever sunken
into the flesh of her neck, that he may always revel
in that thrill. My mother spears her first kill upon my
wing - her favorite memory. I watch my ancestors
hunt just as keenly as they did in life when they surge
through my body, and I feel at once the bloodlust of
generations. May my father feel my fury through my
claws. May my brothers and sisters scream with me
into the choking air. I will be going home, in time.
