Izar
The Nine Tailed Star of the Intel Clan Subdivision

Izar is a nine tailed kitsune who has been around for most of Dragonkind's history. Most of said history, she lurked in the background much like the majority of her kin and was spoken of like a myth or tale to warn of suspicious dragons that may not be dragons. Didn't help that the few kitsune that were more active in the world did nothing to really dissuade those stories, whether it be to protect their kin or because they relished in tormenting dragons and Beastfolk alike.

She became more intrigued about the state of the world when the Beastclans rose up against Dragonkind. The world was changing and she slowly started to make her way into it, but would retreat back into the world her kind made for themselves. A twisted path of thorns, bizarre confusing scents and strange vocalizations before mysteriously finding oneself on the boundary of the Tangle Wood and the Thorned Grove awaited those that tried to explore the latter. A safe world within a world meant for Kitsunes and the rare chosen.

It was during this time that she would come across a Corgi. Still spending more time within the Thorned Grove than out of it, one of the days she ventured out to learn a bit more about the world. She always took on the form of a dragon while out, as most would leave them alone. Except a Corgi that was always, for whatever reason, all too happy to see her. Izar hated dogs and their relations as they would out kitsune to their owners and even attempt to harm them. Even more dangerous was the dog's immunity to magic and they are all too happy to shield their owners from magical attacks.

Izar would try to shoo the dog away, but he kept following her around and would even wait on the edge of the Thorned Grove for when she'd come out. Greatly annoyed, she would come to sarcastically call him Sir Barkley of the Wild Forest and slowly but surely came to enjoy the Corgi's presence as he never outed her. Even among other dogs, it would seem that he held some sway as he would communicate to the others to leave Izar alone.

With their bond becoming deeper, Izar stopped being nasty about his name that she gave him and would refer to him in far more respectful terms. She even allowed him into the Thorned Grove, which bothered the other kitsunes for a time until they saw that he wasn't going to harm them. When out of the grove, Sir Barkley would warn Izar of anything suspicious.

When the world seemed to undergo a shift with the elements going berserk, Izar decided that she was going to leave the Thorned Grove with Sir Barkley, possibly for good. She had to know what was going on and if anything terrible was to come of it. She would come across Rhaegal and Azalea when Sir Barkley ran off into the green woods when they were heading more to the north. After a brief chat, the group expanded to four as Rhaegal expressed his concern about the changing world and the possible threat of a war between the Plague Flight and Nature Flight. Him being a leshie made him more sensitive to the changes in the forest and he found himself fearful. Wandering and trying to gain info, they quickly passed through the Sunbeam Ruins due to a threat of a newly awaken Emperor. Heading into the borderlands of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, they heard of a strange dragon that would spend time in lava pools and disappear when approached.

After several annoying weeks of trying to find this dragon, they found him. Well, Izar in her annoyance more or less captured him by use of illusions. Once they started to talk, it became clear that this dragon named Iri wasn't a dragon at all. He was a kelpie that not only could live in lava pools but prefer it to water and was made an outcast among his own for this. Izar had a sneaking suspicion that he wasn't truly a dragon and that was why she led the party to seek him out. Iri, happy that there were others like him in that they shapeshifted into dragons, wanted to join. Leshie and Izar didn't care and Sir Barkley and Azalea were happy that there was a new friend.

The group had heard about Lightning Flight and figured not only was it a good Flight to gain knowledge about the world, but hopefully relatively safe compared to the other areas. They quickly came to Clan Spiraling Tempest. Izar quickly joined the Intel Clan Subdivision, not just to gain info but to also keep her friends' identities as well as her own secret. The group, having traveled together, will often be found hanging out when not busy at work. So far, Izar has done well keeping their true identities secret and Sir Barkley has taken well to being more secretive and often aiding Izar in her tasks. Her need to know about the changing world has been noted by Vesper and she typically gets missions in relation to her interest. She has found a recent like of blue and black gems. And black ribbons. Her den is basically a recreation of the Thorned Grove.
