BASIC DESCRIPTION.

The ferryman of the five rivers looks through you silently. He holds out his hand, waiting for the payment he's owed to ferry you through the crossroads of the many Netherworlds that exist here. You look around for an indication of where he is to take you, and your eyes finally land upon a charred paper map set upon the ground nearby. You take a look at it, thinking maybe its owner was unable to bring it with them on their journey with Charon. The map had notes on it as well, written in delicate calligraphy:


"Should you want to travel to Hades and the Underworld, follow Charon either through the Styx or Acheron, paid to him with an obolus or danake. A visit to Tartarus will require you to pass through Hades' domain. Should you find yourself a sinner in the eyes of the Holy One, seek passage through payment of aureus to meet with Azrael - he will guide you through the levels of Hell till you come across the one befitting your sins. Should you wish to see the creator goddess, Izanami, in the deepest pits of Yomi, hand him ryō as payment for his efforts."

You look back at the ferryman curiously, seeing that, still, he held his hand out, awaiting payment. Your choice was yours, and yours alone.
