Pretty Pink Mums The White Death,
Nemesia

And the earth looked at me and said "Wasn't that fun?"
And I replied "I'm sorry if I hurt anyone"
In the midst of spring, when new life sprouts from the earth and mourning is set aside to make room for working, many graveyards find themselves meticulously maintained. There is no rhyme or reason for it, no groundskeeper to cut the grass and trim the hedges, and yet the graveyards bloom in time with spring but never overzealously, as though the earth itself is paying respects to those who died. At high noon and no sooner or later, a figure can be seen walking through these graveyards; trimming the hedges, cutting the grass, and encouraging flowers to bloom. Dragons who've seen this mysterious groundskeeper can never recall any features; just that the groundskeeper seemed to glow with the light of the sun.

Nemesia is a quiet soul, and never had a heart for the endless politics of the Court. She was born sickly, like her father, Ren; no matter what her mother did, Nemesia seemed to fade by the day. She is the truest carrier of the White Rot, and seeks to keep her strain at bay by any means possible. She spends her time in graveyards, avoiding the Court and any living dragons. Some rumor that Nemesia can speak to the dead, though she's never confirmed such a thing. Others rumor that a single scratch from Nemesia can make even a faerie fall deadly ill. Whatever powers she has, she will never share them willingly.

Nemesia has found a mate in Cantaloupe, a lovesick poet who became enamored with rumors of the White Death and tracked her down in order to profess his affections. Nemesia is fond of him, but is as detached to him as she is to all other living beings.

Nemesia has many enemies, but none bold enough to challenge her outright.

All faeries are frivolous, but the Spring Court is the most frivolous of them all...

Congratulations on adopting a Descendant of the Spring Court! Playful and capricious, the Spring Court fae celebrate the growth and energy of their season and eagerly welcome those who respect it. Be warned, though: it is just as easy to fall out of favor with this Court as it is to gain it. The Spring Court is most well known for granting questing dragons new beginnings, but those beginnings may not always be how they imagined. 2022 Crystal Gala Entry wrote:
As soon as the Gala had warmed to the faeries from Sector 42, a hush fell over the Gala as an unwelcome guest arrived. Nobody turned away Nemesia, as she entered with soundless steps, though many guests drew away from the White Death when she came too close. Chloe looks furious, while Saguaro seems bemused and brings his mother aside to tell her that he'd invited Nemesia, not knowing the White Death would actually show up.
Well.. It looks like Nemesia isn't inclined to leave anytime soon. It's unknowable if she stays merely to spite her grandmother, or if social pressure and awkwardness renders Nemesia paralyzed.
