Agnete was born into a band of travelling traders. Following his parents footsteps, they began their training in an apothecary, learning to mix and distribute antidotes, solutions, and chemicals of dubious origin. While his parents were more focused on inventing new potions, Agnete quietly developed their own claim to fame: plagues.

Travelling from clan to clan, town to town, Agnete would follow whisperings of the sick and dying, and quickly and carefully extract them from the bodies of the deceased, trapping little plagues in smooth spheres they called 'cores'. When he returns to camp, they would use their magic to lift each core to the light and study the plague within, concocting specialised antidotes well into the night.

He wasn't surprised when a Corrupt came to visit. In fact, he was rather delighted, and immediately asked the imposing skydancer for a sample. Before long, Corruption was visiting the travelling merchants consistently, much to the chagrin of every other dragon. In their travels, they've also met up with a certain Cleanser pair... Agnete is determined to woo the pearlcatcher right into their arms.

Trivia

• Agnete, Corruption and Chida eventually end up in a wonderful little polycule, with the cute, traumatised guardian as their polycule child.

• The rest of the travelling troupe are weirdly supportive of Agnete's less-than-conventional business ventures. They can't ignore the fact that having a Corruption nearby drives some business away, but Agnete's financial success props the rest of the group up.

• His mates love to spoil him with little bits of jewellery collected on their extensive travels.
