━━━━━━━ Summary ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Siribeis is the captain of the Silver Thresher, a corsair (privateer) ship conducting raids on behalf of the Caravanserai from port city Riftmaw.

People in the region call him "the Pirate Prince" because of his aristocratic background, though he is not an actual prince.

━━━━━━━ Background ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Siribeis grew up in Fenimore Manor, just north of Porto's Whisperhill. His noble House lost most of their influence when the Navigator Guild bought the land around Porto Bay from an old Shadow coven. Eager to recover some of their past grandeur and strengthen their position against the Navigator Guild, Siribeis' family made an alliance with neighbouring Shadow aristocrats of Umbervale.

While he studied at the Porto Academy his parents betrothed him to the heiress of Umbervale. Siribeis however had little interest in being his family's puppet, and instead dreamed of adventure and travels with close Academy friend Caito. Together they waited for the right opportunity and one day ran away from the Academy, leaving their former life behind.

They found employment as lowdeck swabs with the Lionfish Gang, and eventually became full-fledged pirates. Siribeis' friendship with Caito grew stronger and they were each other's confidants all these years, while they climbed the ladders of the pirate crew. Eventually Caito became the new quartermaster of the ship, and Siribeis became the ship's Navigator.

When the captain of the ship started getting old, leadership became uncertain and the pirate fleet returned to Porto. Siribeis grew worried that the Fenimore or Umbervale would find a way to get their claws on him again and force him back into betrothal, so he parted ways with Caito and used his hard-earned treasure to enlist his own boat and crew.

As captain of The Silver Thresher, Siribeis sails the Sea of Thousand Currents, making runs between its home port Riftmaw (Shifting Expanse), and trade partners from the Marrow Run Council in Kheme Harbor and Eretyras (Scarred Wasteland). He seldom visits the Bay of Porto for more than a couple days to avoid trouble with his family.

He became a steady source of supplies for the resistance movement against the Tempest Spire based in Riftmaw. It is through this channel that he met the local leader and patron of Riftmaw's rebel cell, Kesibesam. Due to their similar life stories, the two of them quickly grew a deep respect and appreciation for each other, and became an item.

Their high public profile ancestry and rumoured criminal activity have turned them into one of the most talked about pairings in the Caravanserai.

━━━━━━━ Relations ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

53027841p.png Kesibesam is Siribeis' partner in love and sometimes in crimes. They're in an open relationship and share their love of pissing off their respective families by not following along with the aristocracy's etiquette and matchmakers. They usually meet up in Kesibesam's hideout, in subterranean Riftmaw.
57765820p.png Caito is Siribeis' long time best friend and confidant from the Academy and then on board with the Lionfish Gang. She is the first person he checks on when he passes through Porto, and he would probably drop whatever he's doing at the moment to help her in a pinch if she ever asked.

━━━━━━━ Hatchling Lore ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

This section is intended for Lore lairs that got dragons from this pair, and it details what kind of environment the hatchlings may be familiar with. It's only intended for inspiration, so feel free to disregard these suggestions and make your own plans! Let me know if you've given lore to any of my hatchlings so I can link them here.

Dragons from Riftmaw may have been hatched and raised by their parents, or by caregivers at Riftmaw's Orphanage. They may have attended Chasma College, an institution nested at the top of the city's rift that dispenses formal education, or they may have sought training under any local master of trade, until they were of age to travel and seek their fortune elsewhere.

Siribeis and Kesibesam do their best to give a good education to their offspring and keep them out of trouble; they are loving, supportive parents. However this lineage has a strong history of unique destinies, and their hatchlings may continue on that trend.

On one hand, a persistent hatchling might get involved with their parents' rebel activity against the Tempest Spire, making them acquainted with piracy, secret networks, and operations aiming to stop the reach of the Stormcatcher's influence into the Western Shifting Expanse. They may also join the cause of their allies from the Magmablood Rebellion in the Ashfall Waste. Such hatchling might grow into a life of adventure, risks, and possibly on the fringe of criminal life.

On the other hand, a youngster may also learn about their parents noble legacy. They could reach out to their grandmother and adoptive grandfather to spend time with them, passing off as a full-fledged noble to the Crystalcourt of Dragonhome and elsewhere. They could also try to reconnect with their father Siribeis' side of aristocracy, meeting with the House of Fenimore at the border of the Driftwood Drag and the Sea of Thousand Currents - even getting caught in their political machinations.

More options are possible, of course (feel free to contact me about your ideas!). Your dragon carries this legacy with them; will they embrace it or reject it?
