Meet Sequoia!

Sequoia is the ships main source of entertainment at night. She's blind so she isn't much of a help with duties around the ship, usually spending most of her days wandering around the bowels of the ship while trying to keep out of everyones way.

She hums eerie tunes to herself while she wanders which keeps a lot of the crew away, mumbling tales of long ago about sailors who were lost at sea and never returned home or sings songs about creatures who drag men away with the power of their voice. A lot of the crew thinks she's a siren, but the captain shuts down their rumours whenever he hears them. He see's Sequoia as a daugher he never had and refuses to see any truth of the matter that he might very well have a siren on board the ship.

No matter how anyone feels about her, the whole crew will always show up at night to listen to her sing, lulling them to sleep with pleasant dreams.

Weither she is or isn't a siren is hard to say, but either way she seems rather happy aboard the ship. giggling to herself whenever the crew tries to avoid her when passing her in the hallway or on the deck, as if she knows there is a reason they should be afraid of her.
