Rot is a Wraith only just out of his Necromantic Trials. Relatively young, he went in certain of his own success and determined to prove himself. Although he didn't fall, he didn't quite succeed; he believes that Plaguebringer deemed him worthy enough to live, but not so great as to join the esteemed Necromancer ranks.

Still coming to terms with his failure and subsequent rescue, he has—perhaps temporarily—joined the retinue of Ossua, emissary to the Dreadwing. He is in training, by Nefastus and the Dreadwing themselves, as a bodyguard. However, he takes little joy in it, attending to his duties with quiet, almost morose obedience. He is glad to be alive, and to be allowed to search for a new purpose in service against the Shade, but at the same time, his failure is a heavy burden for him to bear. Sinew, his fellow Wraith in service, finds his moping to be irritating while Nefastus views him with patient sympathy.

A new, but strong, friendship and romantic attachment to the Nature envoy's Gaoler leader, Hollybranch, has at least roused Rot from the worst of his doubt and misery; he is laughing again. This shift has his own leadership gladly overlooking the distraction, so long as it doesn't affect Rot's work.


Dwells on his own failure, though tries to push it back with thoughts of what he might accomplish in the future.

Has recently formed a romantic attachment to the leader of the Nature delegation, the Gaoler Hollybranch. Ignores Sinew's teasing on the topic.

Easy for Loki and her mischievious ilk to push too far when in a bad mood.

Finds the Ashfall Waste surprisingly intimidating even after his time at the Wyrmwound.
