BONES
P E R S O N A L I T Y
A child of evil... Dystrophy is one of the few Plague dragons who retains most of his sanity. However, he remains just as vulnerable to his own dark mind as any other. There are times when he looses this internal war. And as every dragon is burdened with a different form of disease, Dystrophy succumbs to his personal cannibalism every once in a while. He has used his cunning intelligence to produce a crystal that contains his deadly urge inside of it. However, the mantle's decor can only hold so much... and when it reaches its limit, his deranged nature wrenches out to wreak havoc and death among any who stand in his way. When he isn't dancing with his psychotic side, Dystrophy is a conniving snake of a dragon; sly and merciless, with a dark charm that makes him seem perfectly believable and trustworthy to outside eyes. He supports Blackdeath entirely by means of his corrupt mind and twisted heart.

Since the first birth, Bones felt it in his... well in his bones that he was destined for something of the utmost importance. He never felt like he truly fit into his own skin, and so he decided he would rather be referred to as male instead of female, at least in the common-dragon tongue. He wanted to amount to great and admirable things, aspiration of the highest. Wonders that common dragons could only ever dream of. However, his true passion was not that of politics or prophecies or intense magical knowledge... he only found true passion in his plants. He was a gentle gardener - though burdened with the tint of instability and insanity that many plague dragons carry - who wanted nothing but a peaceful life where he could do great things without any risks to himself.

He tended to the Corrupted Palace's gardens and later, the Flowering Wasteland. He wanted to care for the infested plants of the Plague Guardian itself. He applied for the role and got accepted, however he soon began to realize that the job was becoming increasingly dangerous to his health. As well as demands and shrieking threats from the Guardian, he was quickly becoming sick as he cared for the herbs and boiling flowers. The plants in that garden were foreign to him, and he didn't know the proper way to care for them. They were "exotic," which meant that they were mutated and dangerous. They oozed foul-smelling liquids and released poisonous fumes.

So Bones quit his job. That did not exactly please the Plague Guardian, who chased him out of its twisted palace in a furious rage. But when Bones came to an exhausted rest in the middle of a barren wasteland, he realized that he had found the place where he needed and wanted to be. The wasteland was beautiful. It glowed in shades of purple and grey rock, and the soil was thick and rich. The valley was bordered by towering pillars of rock that protected it from harsh winds and would allow the plants a perfect amount of sunshine throughout the day. Bones began his lush garden with orange globemallows and wildflowers. All of the perfect flowers that could survive in the desert environment.

He added ghostflowers and sunflowers, beavertail and barrel cacti, and planted desert lavender to bring a glorious scent to the valley. He also imported a variety of non-lethal exotic plants. There were spiked flowers that produced twice as much oxygen as a regular flower, bright yellow vines that grew tiny white buds, dark green herbs that could be used to cure any cough, and Bones' favorite - giant black flowers with red edges that grew bright green globes. Those globes could then be used as incense, and could float in the air. As the Flowering Wasteland grew and grew, Bones became more content with his life. Sure, he wasn't doing some important work for a high member of society with a status that could make him famous... but he was safe in the Valley... and he was happy.

And that was all that really mattered to him.
