Marvolo
Child of Owro and Whirlwind and hatchmate to Ehdre and Solar, Marvolo is a deep-cave dwelling descendant of the renowned Fatel and Scion.
She was unusually calm and studious for her age, opting to silently peruse ancient texts and philosophies in a corner instead of roughhousing with her siblings. Although perplexed, her parents waved this odd behaviour off as timidness.
She would often refuse food and water, which worried her family and neighbours to near death, but seemed to be in perfect health with no threat to her life, if her lifestyle could be called a life at all.
They simply left her be.
However, as time passed and her siblings grew in both character and size, Marvolo remained the same. Small in size and in presence. It seemed as though she had not grown at all during the time in which her siblings had almost doubled in size.
Instead of training in combat, hunting, or scavenging, Marvolo diligently worked her way through scrolls and tomes with alarming speed.
“Everything is too tiring.”
She would claim when asked to join in on activities.
“It’s all just pointless.”
She would claim, sometimes sparing a rare glance up from whichever ancient text she was poring over.
She didn’t seem to eat, sleep, or socialise at all. Her siblings often claimed that she didn’t even breathe.
An anomaly of a hatchling, Marvolo was beginning to be ignored and avoided, left to herself and her readings which mysteriously appeared in Marvolo's talons for all her acquaintances knew.
When asked why she behaved the way she did, she would answer with one curt word.
“Preparing.”
Nobody could for their life figure out what the young hatchling was preparing for.
Not for years to come.
