Biography

Porcellio scaber - an assorted mix, our first foray into isopod keeping
Armadillidium maculatum "Zebra" - what started an interest in pet isopods, second culture purchased after the scaber arrived safely
Armadillidium klugii “Montenegro” - my favorite isopods, they weren't kidding when they said klugii take a long time to reproduce, finally had mancae 4/1/2022 after nearly a year
Armadillidium frontirostre - impulse purchase at a local event, very shy - Update they're not that shy once there's enough of 'em...
Porcellio laevis "Dairy Cow" - another goal, purchased at the same event as the frontirostre, grew much larger than I expected, cute and very silly to watch eat
Cubaris sp. "Pak Chong" - an established colony starter for the price of a handful of individuals acquired at the spring local event, our first Cubaris
Cubaris sp. "Panda King" - an established colony from the same dealer as the "Pak Chong", they seem very shy
Armadillidium vulgare wild type - aquired at the spring event
armadillidium vulgare "Gem mix" - acquired at the same event, have already reproduced, though the young have yet to show their colors
Cubaris sp. "Soil" - from latest spring event, recommended by a trusted vendor because of their size and interesting appearance
Cubaris murina "Little Sea" - got them from the same vendor as the Soil isopods, a goal species because of their common name being so appealing, will be going in the planted terrarium
