You've stumbled upon a garden.

Dozens of pots hand-painted with intricate patterns and rows upon rows of flowerbeds filled with more types of plants than you've ever seen in your life surround you. It's dead silent.

You're not sure how you got here. One moment you were walking in the forest, the next you were here. Wherever "here" might be. Every time you try to look at your surroundings (or anything besides the garden itself, really), it all goes... blurry. There's something there, but you can't make out what it actually is no matter what you do, like there's something preventing you from seeing it clearly.

You're not sure how long you've been here, either.

A laugh breaks the silence, melodic and clear. Someone (or something) grabs your shoulder.

You turn around. There's someone behind you, but much like your surroundings they're blurry. Red and green and about as clear as a charcoal drawing on wet paper. They laugh again and move past you, plucking a fruit, a berry, from one of the garden plants.

They look back at you, and despite being unable to see a face you get the impression they want you to take the fruit.

You reach out your hand, but the moment you touch the berry everything goes black.

...

You wake up in the forest, a gap in your memory and a berry in your hand.

A much more secluded fae than her peers, Berry spends most of her time tending to her garden, filled with plants from every corner of the land and beyond. She takes great pride in maintaining it, carefully managing every flower, every bush and every tree with great diligence. While she is not fond of visitors, it is not uncommon for dragons to stumble upon her realm where the veil is thinnest. And while she has no interest in dragonkind beyond their agriculture, it is not unusual for stragglers to gain a boon or favour, as long as they treat her and her garden with respect.

Not that they'll remember it, of course. Keeping their memories intact would allow for repeat visitors (or worse, dragons actively seeking her out) and with that, a higher chance her garden would be trampled over.

And those dare trample over her garden are, of course, cursed, becoming part of the garden they so carelessly damaged.

Berry's gifts take the form of her namesake; a never-spoiling berry. When eaten they grant the one the gift was bestowed upon the ability to make a wish (even if they were not the one who ate the berry). This wish can be anything that is possible to achieve through fae magic, except for regaining any memories of the garden.

Generation 2

All faeries are frivolous, but the Spring Court is the most frivolous of them all...

Congratulations on adopting a Descendant of the Spring Court! Playful and capricious, the Spring Court fae celebrate the growth and energy of their season and eagerly welcome those who respect it. Be warned, though: it is just as easy to fall out of favor with this Court as it is to gain it. The Spring Court is most well known for granting questing dragons new beginnings, but those beginnings may not always be how they imagined.
