Garnet: Mulled Cherry Pie

Nobody’s really sure what happened to this cherry pie, but it’s said that one of the hatchlings may have accidentally added a bit of red wine into it instead of fruit juice. The result was a deep crimson pie with a strangely pungent aroma, so the hatchlings opted not to eat it. Instead, Marshmallow turned it into a hatchling. This brought about the creation of Garnet, who is a strangely quiet and stoic hatchling. She sits so still in the shadows that she can barely be noticed, save for her white irises glinting from the darkness. Garnet doesn’t seem to know how to speak or write, although she has been seen reading on occasion. The other hatchlings have attempted to make conversation with her, although none have succeeded.

She is an expert at concocting various types of drinks in the bakery, but outside of that, Garnet does not seem to have much of an interest in mingling with other dragons. However, in a rare few instances, Garnet has been observed by the keen Minka to be sitting in the bakery’s orchard at dusk, silently admiring the scenery and creatures that dwell there.
