Isuzu is Plague. Hatched in Plague, brought up in Plague, living in Plague.

The thing is; the thing is, the leylines of Nevada are broken. Leyline surges are no unknown thing, of course- magic is a fickle thing, and sometimes, it will shift. But not like this. Not this constant roiling tide of every element vying for control and none yet sticking, all in the middle of a land associated with Plague.

Isuzu, like so many other Nevadan dragons, was hatched in Plague and received an element not Plague.

It's no dramatic thing, no massive blemish on his life. It just is. His heritage is still Plague: survival at any cost. Survival no matter what hand you have been dealt; survival no matter the odds. Raw, plain, survival.

His hand is such: he was once an aether. His element is Wind. He had the opportunity to journey to the Wyrmwound, and he took it. He is a doctor, because he had the time and the want and the chance.

Yes, a doctor. It's not a betrayal of his heritage, nor any sidestep, or any other idiotic argument he's heard and ignored. Plague is survival. The method of said survival matters none. Survive no matter your odds. Receive the help you need. Lean on others, be leaned on, and live.
