Fuco was born with a rare hair deficiency. This meant that his coat was thin and unable to protect him from the harsh climates Tundras are known for staying in. As a result most of his childhood was spent indoors. His mother took a risk and left him in the care of a well known Tundra by the name of Tangerine.
Renowned for his healing capabilities and ability to take care of hatchlings. She thought he may be able to help Fuco or at least make him feel a little bit better about himself.
While in the care of Tangerine, Fuco met a pearlcatcher called Paolo. Paolo's coat was dull and his eyes sunken. However that couldn't be said for the paintings he drew. The blend of colours on paper made Fuco in awe of Paolos talent.
As neither of them ever really went outside it was the first time either started communicating with other species. The two became best friends and more happy in their own skin.
After months of Tangerines hard work and precise experiments from Toxic. They finally came up with an ointment that helped Fuco grow his coat to the standard of other Tundras.
Paolo was devastated for no longer would his best friend have to stay in the lair. As a parting gift Paolo painted colours on his coat. Fuco was delighted as he knew that apart of him would need something to remind him of Paolo.
As they grew Paolo got better, Fuco visited every few months. Paolo was in love with a coatl and Fuco joined the lair he now resides in, both happy and healthy. The bond between them was never lost.
